Advanced Driving
Advanced driving is based on the ‘system
of car control' which can be found in the police drivers handbook “Roadcraft”.
This is the standard used in nationally available tests with the Institute
of Advanced Motorists and ROSPA Advanced Driver's Association.
The vehicle
of the advanced driver should always be in the correct place on the road, travelling
at the correct speed with the right gear engaged. This can be achieved by concentration,
good observations and the correct anticipation of others actions.
The advanced
driver will be smooth, safe and inspire confidence in passengers travelling
in the vehicle.
Whether you want to improve your skills for your own satisfaction, to reduce
the risk of being involved in a collision or to pass one of the recognised
advanced driving tests "Drive to Arrive" can provide a training solution to
assist you. Instruction can be given in your own vehicle or one of the training
vehicles, a Toyota Yaris or Seat Ibiza 1.4 with a petrol engine.
